A lawn care customer called about small white eggs in the lawn?

At this time in late September, they are not likely to be grub eggs, although European chafer eggs are white. I would think that they would have all hatched by now.

Could they be Crane Fly eggs?

Their timing is slightly off of what we'd find here in Ontario but the pictures are great.
